After seeing the quality and prices skyrocket with garden planters, Our founder Michael began a journey in 2023 of redesigning how planters can be constructed and sold to be both renewable sourced and competitively priced. Treading water with minimal funds, he built the first models of the simple planter box, our first product. Only a few months later it would lead to numerous opportunities in the community, such as at Saler's Greenhouse. A staple in the Shakopee and surrounding area community. catapulting the MCW Craftsmanship to a new prevalent name in the south metro area.

In 2025, MCW Craftsmanship has expanded from small renewable planters, to full scale residential sheds. From specializing in small wooden planters, the company has evolved to all custom projects and builds. It doesn't matter if you need a window planter box, custom set of cornhole boards, outdoor furniture, or a modular shed for more space, we will do it.
